"In contrast to my previous album "Lydlandskaber" from 2017, which consisted exclusively of one-takes, with "Mosaik" I have moved in a new direction: I have combined many layers of old and new recordings – analog (home-made) synthesizers, field recordings, my own vocal and sound generated using digital algorithms. It is a mosaic in sustained time, i.e. each "stone" in the mosaic is relatively big and its movement is in most cases very fluid – one sound fades in, out, over and under the other sounds without necessarily jumping in the ears.
On the B-side of the record, which consists of four smaller compositions that merge into one long journey of sound, I have tried to create transitions that give you the feeling of suddenly being in a new place, without having discovered how you got there. In this process, I have been particularly inspired by Eliane Radigue's work "Trilogie de la Mort", which leaves exactly this feeling on the undersigned."
